PARTY TIME AT WESTLAKESOn Friday, 10th December 2004 around 85 elderly residents from the Whitehaven area were treated to a Christmas Party at the Westlakes Science & Technology Park .This has now become a regular event for the festive season with pensioners travelling from the surrounding area by courtesy of Whitehaven Lions. Pupils from the nearby Moor Row Community School sang songs from their Christmas Play. Afterward everyone enjoyed pie and peas in the Science Park 's Restaurant followed by a raffle with prizes supplied by Westlakes Properties Limited. Mrs Kaye Roberts, PR & Marketing Officer, said "We were delighted to host what has now become an annual event for Whitehaven pensioners. I would like to thank all the organisations who contributed, so generously, to make the afternoon successful".
