1. The Park's main focus is to contribute to job and wealth creation in West Cumbria by moving the local employment structure away from the area's foundation of traditional industry to the establishment of knowledge based and ideally, high growth businesses. Westlakes enables knowledge based businesses to grow and develop by providing high quality accommodation, research links to higher educational institutions and appropriate support structures.
