Plots of land totalling over 50,000 sq. m. are immediately available for development. Plot sizes range from 1,800 – 16,600 sq. m. all with outline planning permission for B1 offices and laboratories or B1/B2 manufacturing. All development Plots of land have accessible services namely gas, electricity, water, drainage and cable ducts.

Background Information
West Cumbria is establishing a reputation as the UK's centre of excellence for nuclear decommissioning. Furthermore, investment is being made to develop the location as a global centre for energy, environment and technology. The UK's Nuclear Decommissioning Authority HQ is based at Westlakes. Established in 2005, this government organisation is managing the £2 billion p.a. clean-up of the UK's ageing nuclear facilities, including the nearby Sellafield site which comprises some 60% of the nation's nuclear legacy. Currently the largest public sector project in Britain, a number of national and international organisations have already established a presence at Westlakes to capitalise on the business opportunities that will arise from the 100+ year programme of work at Sellafield.
